AIGA Election Design Fellow for Oregon

AIGA, the professional association for design, seeks a communication designer for a one-year fellowship, beginning in the late summer of 2009, assisting the Oregon Secretary of State in the design of election materials--specifically those associated with training election officials and staff, educating the general public, adhering to the election reforms mandated by the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) and Oregon State Law, and enabling effective ballot casting. As a full-time employee of AIGA, under contract to the Oregon Secretary of State, Kate Brown, the selected candidate will receive a salary of $40,000 and medical, dental and other staff benefits. This is a unique, paid opportunity to serve AIGA Design for Democracy.
