Art Instructor and Design Coordinator
The College of Idaho invites applications for an art instructor and design coordinator who would work jointly with the Art Department and the Office of College Relations. The Department seeks a dynamic graphic designer/educator with expertise in computer graphics programs, visual communication and design to build student interest in video, web design and print design. This position offers the opportunity to build an exciting graphic design program that can contribute significantly to representing the College’s high aspirations and many achievements. Review of applications will begin on February 12, 2010.
Responsibilities
• Teaching responsibilities include introductory graphic design courses in areas such as digital photography, video, web and print design. Additional responsibilities include working with advanced students on design and video projects for the college website. Design coordinator duties include ensuring that student work is transmitted productively to the web, and working with other staff in College Relations on producing a compelling visual identity for the College.
Requirements
• M.F.A. preferred, or significant professional experience in video and web design. Candidates must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment.
