Student Programmer/Designer Position


An hourly position for a part-time (up to 10 hours/week) student programmer/designer is available in the Department of Physics. This position involves grant-funded education and public outreach activities related to a number of current (e.g., MESSENGER, New Horizons) and planned (Radiation Belt Storm Probes) NASA missions in planetary exploration. The work includes updating and completing existing online interactives and simulations in Flash. Examples of the interactives are available here: http://www.messenger-education.org/students/animations.php. Programming skills in Flash are required. Some familiarity with PHP is desired, but not necessary. Interested persons should contact Keri Hallau, khallau@montana.edu.
