Graphic Designer Production Artist
Job Summary: A Production Artist works with page layout and graphics software to create, edit, prepare and deliver documents for print or electronic distribution.
Organizational Structure:
This position reports to the QBP Catalog Coordinator/Production Supervisor. There are 3 other Production Artists and one Senior Production Artist in the department. The Production team is one part of the QBP Marketing department, which consists of Design, Imaging, Events and Writing/PR.
Performance Objectives:
· Catalog Editing: Learn the QBP catalog editing process and maintain several sections of the catalog throughout the year. High performers exceed the measure of 30 typical PDF edits per day during catalog season.
· Learn New Competencies: Take on learning new production projects and processes with the result being an ability to contribute whenever and wherever needed.
· Partner with Customers: Work effectively with our internal clients to complete projects in a timely manner and for the best possible outcome for QBP
· Work Directly with Vendors: Deliver appropriately prepared files to our print vendors, answer questions and trouble shoot as appropriate. Press check files at the printer to ensure quality when necessary.
· Team Player: Be a motivated contributor to the Marketing team, pitching in to get things done as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
· Posses at least 3-5 years of experience in a production role including creation of files in Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, preflighting files and collecting final output for printers.
· Must display a high level of organization, excellent time management skills and ability to work within and meet multiple concurrent deadlines
· Experience in Mac OS, Illustrator, Photoshop, Autoprice, Quark Xpress, Microsoft Office and video editing software a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time
· Ability to use the phone and computer extensively
