Graphic Designer
Lumos, Inc. products are used by professional athletes, Olympians, and recreational athlete’s that enable them to play harder, avoid injury, and recover faster. Athletes from every major sports use our products when playing on national TV in major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, US Open, & March Madness, or when simply running with their friends in the morning. We sell our products at over 1300 locations nationwide including Sports Authority, Dicks Sporting Goods, Big 5 and in over 30 countries world-wide.


We are currently seeking a Graphic/Web Designer to be the visionary voice that will develop compelling user experiences. You must be a creative thinker with big ideas, but with a distinct execution orientation. You think details matter. You must be able to interpret verbal direction into visual beauty. You're passionate about design yet think beyond the pixel–you know what’s going on with the web and where it’s going. You’re a student of your craft, always keeping up with new trends, social media, blogs, and emerging web technologies. The ideal candidate is able to eloquently communicate design decisions that our team and customers will be equally passionate about. You have at least 2 years of experience in web design. 



Responsibilities
• Brainstorm, collaborate, and develop visual design comps. 

• Execute fully developed print, POP, product packaging, sales collateral, web and interface design solutions, with an awareness and sensitivity to brand values.

• Adhere to production schedules and work with manager to track projects and estimate milestones.

• Select photography, typography, illustration, and other visual materials for inclusion in online and off line materials.

• Manage and update source PSD/AI template files.

• Other responsibilities as needed

Specific Skills
• Solid proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Must have solid understanding of type & imagery and color composition, able to create a distinct visual hierarchy of UI elements for graphics, icons, and buttons.

• Able to juggle multiple projects - Can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time and communicate timeline to team members

• Ability to take creative direction and work independently and proactively

• Strong writing skills

• BA/BFA in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design

• Portfolio site that clearly demonstrates your abilities


Preferred Skills
• Good understanding of typography

• An understanding of standards-based HTML & CSS- You should have the ability to convert Photoshop designs into websites, using your own good judgment when needed on how things should work.

• A passion for sports
