Outside Bozeman Magazine

Art Director Position

Outside Bozeman needs an art director: someone to lay out the magazine, build ads, design marketing materials, and do random other design work. This is a part-time, permanent position with lots of flexibility. Our current art director works from home quite a bit, and she routinely takes off on two-week trips.

Requirements/Qualifications
• Must be very proficient and fast with InDesign
• Must be proficient with all other Adobe software
• Must have magazine layout experience
• Must be deadline-oriented
• Must strive for quality, if not perfection
• Must have good work ethic and be dependable
• Must work as part of a team and require little oversight
• Must be able to take charge and manage the entire art department
• Must have a sense of humor
• Must be into outdoor activities
• Must not be a sensitive type (we have a saucy, smartass staff and I’m an exacting boss)
• Must be able to work full-time for two weeks every quarter, plus one week in August and one in October, and work part-time for the rest of the year
