Bozeman Magazine Photo Intern

Photo Intern
Bozeman Magazine is seeking an intern to assist with projects related to the visual side of the magazine and photo research. Duties will include organizing photography materials, and conducting photo research on story assignments. Interns will gain an understanding of the way the photo, design and editorial departments work together to produce the magazine.

Job Type
Academic internship. Offered spring, summer, and fall semesters.

Responsibilities
• Monthly photo assignments.
• Cataloging, organizing, and creating stock photo library.
• Preparing files in Photoshop for the Bozeman Magazine website.
• Stock photo research on future story assignments.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Intern must be working towards a college degree. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with digital photography and file types. Experience with Photoshop preferred. Previous photo editing experience through former internships, college courses and/or work on school publications a plus. Demonstrates a love of Bozeman.

Additional Information
The internship is offered during the spring (January through May), summer (late May through August) and fall (September through December) semesters, to coincide with university schedules. School credit must be obtained for this internship, and there is no pay (except, of course, for the invaluable experience and opportunity to be published). Please ask your academic advisor to verify that this internship would qualify for credit hours.
